Assisted living generally refers to communities or facilities which can provide a wide range of services to provide individuals support; ranging from individuals who may need only housekeeping and meals to those individuals who may need 24 hour supervision and assistance with most daily activities.
In Wisconsin there are several licensing classifications (e.g. AFH, RCAC, and CBRF) and categories (e.g. Advanced Aging, Alzheimers, TBI, etc.) to help differentiate between assisted living communities, but each community has a unique program statement designed to provide services for certain types of residents. (Ref. 1)

Our country's military veterans are offered many benefits, however, there is specific criterion for most benefits and others may not be well known. However, if found eligible, the benefit may retroactively be paid out from the date of application.
In Wisconsin the best way to determine what benefits are available to any veteran is to schedule an appointment with your County Veterans Service Office. This is a state mandated county office to help our Wisconsin veterans with their VA benefits.
Call the CVSO office in:
Winnebago County: 920-232-3400
Fond du lac County: 920-929-3117
Or find your local CVSO.
